Blotout 1.0: A Rebrand That Reflects Who We’ve Become

November 18, 2025

Reaching Version 1.0 is more than a product milestone for Blotout. It marks a moment of clarity about who we are, what we build, and why merchants rely on us. And with that clarity came the realization that it was time to evolve our brand.

When we named the company “Blotout,” it came from a belief that people would increasingly take control of their data. As transparency around data usage grew, users would begin blotting out what they didn’t consent to. That idea has only strengthened over time and continues to sit at the heart of our mission.

But while our name still captures our philosophy, our original logo no longer represented what Blotout has become. Five years ago, we didn’t have Product-Market Fit, a defined identity, or a clear understanding of the infrastructure we were building. Today, we do.

Our new visual identity reflects that transformation.

The 0 and 1 highlight that Blotout is, at its core, a digital-first infrastructure company. Everything we build is rooted in the binary foundation of the internet.

The π symbol represents the constantly shifting nature of the internet’s operating system. From browser limitations to backend changes and new data routing policies, the ecosystem is evolving faster than ever. Blotout is designed to function across all of these spheres.

The infinity symbol (∞) reflects our belief that the number of problems we can solve is unlimited. As AI, the internet, and data infrastructure evolve, so do the opportunities for merchants to build powerful, scalable applications on top of our stack.

This rebrand marks our true Version 1.0. Blotout is no longer just in the data business. We’re in the business of helping merchants own their identity stack instead of renting it from SaaS vendors.

Our brand finally reflects the company we’ve built.
